The Office of Engineering designs, implements, supervises and inspects all public improvements constructed by or for the City. Engineers provide information on the availability, size, and location of all City utilities. They also provide information regarding water and sanitary sewer connections and support the design and installation of traffic signs and signals. This office also administers the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs.
