Election Intern Requirements
- Must be 16 or 17 years old
- Must submit a completed work permit signed by their school
- Must attend mandatory trainings
- Pay is $100 for working Election Day
Hours are 10:00 am – 8:00 pm on Election Day
Work will be at a precinct located in Sterling Heights
Additional Qualifications:
- Possess accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow election workers, other election officials and the general public.
- Ability to use voting equipment and computer.
- Requires lifting election supplies and voting equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
The city of Sterling Heights is always looking for qualified Election Inspectors. If you are interested in applying, click here to print the application and then submit to the Clerk's Office. You will receive an appointment letter prior to the election if you are selected to work.
