Velocity, Macomb County’s leading business incubator, accelerator and coworking space is excited to announce the return of its 3X3 Pitch Competition, a highly anticipated event that celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit within the local community. The second iteration of this dynamic competition promises to be bigger and better than the first, offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their businesses, share their inspiring journeys, and compete for significant cash prizes.
The 3X3 Pitch Competition is a platform for local entrepreneurs to share how they pivoted and thrived in the face of adversity during the pandemic. Participants will have three minutes to pitch their businesses, offering a powerful snapshot of their entrepreneurial journey, highlighting their resilience, and showing how they overcame challenges to achieve remarkable success.

Personalized Coaching from Industry Expert Marc Alexander
To ensure that all selected participants are fully prepared to shine, Velocity is offering each competitor two hours of personalized, one-on-one coaching with Marc Alexander, Founder of Lite Tuition and Co-Founder/CEO of Lite Raise. Marc, a visionary leader in the areas of education, nonprofits, and community development, will work with participants to refine and perfect their pitch, offering invaluable guidance to help them present their best selves.
Marc Alexander is renowned for reshaping fundraising and inspiring change through his work with Lite Raise and his advocacy efforts. His expertise will undoubtedly provide entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed in the competition and beyond.
Eligibility and Application Information
The 3X3 Pitch Competition is open to for-profit businesses based in Macomb County that meet the following criteria:
- Must be a for-profit Lara registered Macomb County business
- Experienced financial hardship during COVID-19
- Located within a designated impact zone
- SEDI-Owned Business: At least 51% owned by a woman, veteran, LGBTQ+ individual, person with a disability, or another underserved group as defined by the US Treasury.
Applications are now open and will be accepted through April 17, 2025. Entrepreneurs interested in competing are encouraged to apply early for a chance to be selected.
