[ARCHIVED] Sterling Heights Rewind: Top Video Moments from November

Sterling Heights Rewind Nov 2025

November in Sterling Heights felt like a month built on connection and a reminder of how much there is to be grateful for. Neighbors showed up for fall cleanups, gathered to honor our veterans, and stopped by the Senior Center and library to learn something new or simply share time together. We broke ground on the future Pickleball Facility and welcomed new residents finding their place in the city. Each moment, big or small, reflected the kind of community we’re fortunate to be part of.

New Resident Meet & Greet

We were thrilled to welcome our newest neighbors at our New Resident Meet & Greet on Nov. 19! Hosted by the Sterling Heights CommUNITY Alliance, the event brought new residents together for a light dinner, giveaways, and the chance to meet City Council members, city officials and fellow neighbors. It was a great opportunity to ask questions, learn about city services and start building connections. We want every new resident to feel supported and truly welcome here in Sterling Heights!

50+ Programming Open House

The Senior Center was full of energy at our 50+ Programming Open House as community members explored fitness classes, the walking track, social programs and all the ways to stay active, engaged and connected.

We think of all of our members as an important part of what we do here, so every day when we come in, we make sure we’re greeting people with a smile and making sure people really find their fit and where they belong here,” explained Recreation Superintendent Kristen Briggs.

If you’re thinking about joining in, we’d love to welcome you. Come visit the Senior Center and find the space that feels like home.

Governor Garlin Gilchrist, for sharing their powerful remarks at this year’s ceremony. We’re also grateful to Heat for Heroes for their continued support and to everyone who donated to help local veterans in need.
