This winter, the Sterling Heights Public Library is offering new ways for families to learn, explore and stay cozy. The Youth Winter Reading Challenge invites young readers to dive into great books, while the Spice of the Month Club and Surprise Story Stack programs add fun, creativity and discovery to the season. Young writers can also flex their imagination by entering the Fan Fiction Writing Contest, where original stories inspired by favorite worlds can be submitted for a chance to win a prize. Warm up with new stories, new flavors and new adventures waiting for you at the library.

Spice of the Month Club
Looking to spice up your cooking? Sign up for our Spice of the Month Club and get inspired to try new flavors. Participants will receive a different kit each month containing a sample of the spice, along with fun facts and a recipe to make at home. Pickup begins Jan. 5 and continues for one week while supplies last.

Surprise Story Stack
Calling all young readers! Tell us your child’s favorite subject, and we'll create a custom book bundle just for them. Each Surprise Story Stack comes with four books and an activity sheet. If we have a limited selection on a topic, we will send a surprise bundle instead. Please register each child individually each month. Limited spots are available, so register early.
