Participants will receive a different kit each month containing a sample of the spice along with some fun facts and a recipe to make at home. Crankie Theater

Dive into the wild and wonderful world of Crankies, a visual storytelling device also known as a moving panorama. A Crankie is simply a box with two spools that are "cranked" to bring movement to an illustrated scroll. In this workshop, we will learn all about this delightful form of folk art while making our very own Crankie boxes and story scrolls from recylcled materials.
Lunar New Year Celebration

Let's celebrate the year of the Horse! You are invited to join our Lunar New Year celebration. Come and enjoy a variety of special activities, including legend telling, fun games, yummy snacks, and paper craft projects that fit the Lunar New Year theme. Myth of the Model City

In honor of Black History Month, this presentation of William Wall-Winkel of the Detroit Historical Society examines the causes and events of the 1967 uprising in Detroit. It provides essential context for understanding what led to the riot/rebellion and the resulting unrest. Additionally, the lecture seeks to dispel many of the enduring myths surrounding 1967.
Adult Scavenger Hunt

Tweening: A Parent & Tween Night Out
