Building Closures

The Library will be closed from April 18-20 for the Easter holiday. Normal operations will resume on Monday, April 21. 

Upton House

Connect with Sterling Heights' past with photos, displays and more at the Upton House Museum. Tours will be available from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 2-30 and Sunday, April 13.

Morning Movies feat. Wizard of Oz

Thursday, April 3 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. No registration required.

In celebration of National Find a Rainbow Day, enjoy the classic tale of "The Wizard of Oz" about the journey of a young farm girl and her little dog as they are magically transported into the enchanted land of Oz via a Kansas tornado. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Cremation Considerations

Turn the Page: The Bob Seger Story

Meet Edward Sarkis Balian, PH.D., the author of the only Bob Seger biography ever written to date, as he talks about his book, "Turn the Page: The Bob Seger Story". The book offers a detailed, unbiased, and accurate account of Seger's life and career as a true rock legend. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Whether you're interested in trying cosplay for the first time or just looking to connect to the community in person, this cosplay workshop is a great space to learn all about the craft, meet new people, and work on your own projects. Please bring your own supplies for projects.

Tweening: A Parent & Tween Night Out

Join us in making beautiful wind spinners out of plastic canvas! S'cool events are geared to elementary aged homeschool families. While these events are geared to homeschool families, they are open to all families with school age children.

Families & Jammies

Get comfy in your favorite PJs and join us for an evening of family fun with stories, rhymes, activities and crafts. This sessions theme will be Egg-Citing Adventures!

Tea Party

Enjoy a story before enjoying some tea (juice) and treats! Wear your craziest hats and dress up for our tea party! Superhero costumes, princess dresses, all are welcome!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Monday, April 28 at 6 p.m. Register online.

Bring your stuffed animals to this special storytime and they can sleep overnight at the library! Children may bring up to two stuffed animals to spend the night at the library. Stuffies should be brought to storytime and will be left in the care of the children's librarians overnight. Stuffies can be collected at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29.

Life Skills for Kids: Kitchen Science

Tuesday, April 29 from 6-7 p.m. Register online.

Join us for a series of fun, educational, and empowering sessions for kids ages 8 and up. It's never too early to be self-sufficient! Put on your lab coats - er, aprons - and get ready to explore the science of cooking!
