Residents, business owners and school officials looking to get rid of old televisions, computers and other electronic items are invited to drop them off for recycling during a city-sponsored Electronics Recycling Day Saturday, April 16th, at the Department of Public Works building at 7200 18 Mile Road west of Van Dyke from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Visit sterling-heights.net for info.

In conjunction with Great Lakes Electronics Corporation, the city will be accepting almost ALL electronics. A good rule of thumb is that IF an electronic device has an electric cord attached, it will be accepted for recycling!

Don’t Fear Identity Theft…Great Lakes Electronics Corp. removes any worry you have about disposing of old computers and hard drives and the data they contain. They offer complete destruction of all drives with their in-house shredder. This amazing machine actually grinds and chops the components into small pieces making it impossible to recover any data.
