[ARCHIVED] City Announces Memorial Day Office Closures & Delayed Refuse Schedule

Municipal offices in Sterling Heights will be closed Friday, May 27 for an employee in-service day and on Monday, May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Municipal offices in Sterling Heights will be closed Friday, May 27 for an employee in-service day and on Monday, May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. City offices include City Hall, Public Library, Nature Center, Recreation Center, Senior Activity Center and the 41-A District Court.

Police and fire emergency services are not affected by the weekend closures. All municipal offices will reopen Tuesday, May 31.

As a result of the holiday, there will be no refuse collection on Monday, May 30. Refuse, Yard Waste and Curbside Recycling collections will be delayed one day during the week of May 30 June 3.
