[ARCHIVED] Sterling Heights hosting LawnGuru sign up fair

The City of Sterling Heights is once-again partnering with on-demand snow removal and lawn maintenance company LawnGuru to offer the service to Sterling Heights residents.

LawnGuru allows users to summon a certified contractor, pay for requested services via credit card and receive a receipt of follow-up, all from the convenience of a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.

While residents can sign up for the service at their convenience from a smart phone, tablet, desktop or even over the phone, the City is also hosting an in-person Sign-Up Fair at from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Senior Center, 40200 Utica Road. At the fair, staff from LawnGuru will be on-site to assist residents in signing up for the service in advance. So, when the first snowstorm hits, residents who have already signed up will be ready to place their order.

LawnGuru’s on-demand service provides an option for residents who are not interested in signing up for a seasonal snow plowing or lawn mowing contract to instead order service on an as-needed basis. Those with a smartphone or tablet who would like to download the LawnGuru app can simply go to the iTunes or Google Play store and search for the free app to download. Those wishing to place an order via their desktop computer can go to https://lawnguru.co.

LawnGuru is also seeking Sterling Heights-area snowplow drivers interested in joining its on-demand fleet. To register, visit www.lawnguru.co/providers and click “Join Now” or click here.

Media with further questions can contact Community Relations Director Bridget Kozlowski  at bkoz@sterling-heights.net or (586) 446-2471.
