Local veterans are invited to join a celebration held in their honor at the annual Sterling Heights Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 11th, in the Sterling Heights Senior Center (40200 Utica Road).
Those who wish to express their appreciation to these brave men and women are also encouraged to attend.
The annual event includes remarks from veterans, music from local band and choir students, a 21-gun from the Sterling Heights Police Honor Guard and the laying of wreaths.
This ceremony is planned by local area veterans groups with the assistance of the City of Sterling Heights and the Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation (SHACF). A Holiday Pizza lunch and refreshments will be served for all attendees, courtesy of Utica-Van Dyke Towing.
