The City of Sterling Heights will kick-off the grand opening for the first-ever Dodge Park Ice Rink at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
The Dodge Park Ice Rink is 70 feet by 140 feet and will be free to Sterling Heights residents with a valid ID, non-residents will have a fee of $5. Skate rental will also be available for $3, and skate sharpening is available for $5.
The hours for the Dodge Park Ice Rink are as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
As this is an open-air amenity, the subject hours listed is dependent on weather conditions.
At 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 1, Sterling Heights Mayor Michael C. Taylor, members of City Council, and city staff will gather at the Dodge Park Ice Rink for an official ceremony to welcome all visitors and cut a ribbon to officially open the rink.
"I'm very excited and proud to be part of the launch of Sterling Heights' first-ever Dodge Park Ice Rink this year," said Mayor Taylor. "This is another example of how Sterling Heights is creating innovative opportunities for residents to come together as a community."
