Where can I get information on the water consumption history for my account?
The City is now offering an online service where customers can view their account history on the web. A consumption history graph for the last 12 bills can be viewed. Customers should access the Online Services prompt – Water Bill Review and Payments. At the Utility Account Inquiry screen, the customer will type in their service street address and utility account number. On the next series of screens click on the following links as they appear in the following order: manage bills, services and consumption, and view consumption.

What are the geographical boundaries of the City of Sterling Heights?
The City contains 36 square miles and is located north of 14 Mile Road, east of Dequindre, west of Hayes and south of Hall Road (M 59). Although exceptions exist due to some bordering communities (i.e., the City of Utica). You may contact the Sterling Heights Police Department at 586-446-2800 to assist you if you are still unsure.

How can I find out about available job opportunities?
Position announcements are posted in the Current Job Openings section of the website. In addition, positions are advertised in the Sunday edition of the Macomb Daily / Source newspapers. When there is a vacancy in a specialized or technical field, every effort is made to reach these applicants through direct mail, various newspapers and trade journals, professional associations, and universities throughout the nation. You may also be notified via email of job openings as they become available by joining the City’s free online Job Subscription Service. When you get to the subscription page (accessible by clicking here), simply provide your email address, click the box next to “Job Postings” and click “Submit” to be added to the list.
