Does Plowz® service street parking, parking lots, alleyways, sidewalks, walkways, etc?: Unfortunately, Plowz service doesn’t cover street parking, alley ways, parking lots, etc. (Sterling Heights residents will have their walkways and sidewalks included in their price/service.) We’re constantly looking for ways to expand and improve our services and may be including these in the future but we do not offer these services at this time. Please take this into consideration when placing your Plowz order.

1. How do I sign up?: To sign up, please download the PLOWZ & MOWZ free app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store, and enter your information into the app. If you do not own a smartphone or tablet, we now offer the convenience of Online Ordering!

2. Do I have to contract with Plowz & Mowz for the entire season?: Nope! Jobs are ordered as needed. We do offer a weekly or bi-weekly recurring option for Mowz that allows orders to be placed automatically, but that is entirely optional and can be cancelled at any point penalty-free.

3. Can I order Plowz® or Mowz® for a relative or friend? What if I own multiple properties?: Yes! You can enter multiple addresses into the app. Tap the little pencil icon next to your first address, then press the “+” button to add a new address. When you schedule your next plow, tap the little pencil icon again and highlight the home address you want to service.

4. What happens in the event of inclement weather?: If it rains, we tell our providers to push the job back to the next day. We don’t want our providers to damage your property, their equipment, or to put safety at risk. We will contact you if the provider is delayed because of inclement weather. Plowz providers are expected to continue service during severe snow storms though there may be delays if there are travel restrictions in the area.

5. What is the cost for service for a typical driveway?: Plowz & Mowz is excited to offer residents of Sterling Heights clearance of their driveways and sidewalks starting at $35 for a 1-2 car long driveway that is one car width wide. We do increase the price by $10 every two car lengths as well as an additional $10 per car width.

6. What is the cost for service for a typical yard?: Pricing starts at approximately $30 but varies based on the size of the lawn and the length of the grass.

7. How is the price determined?: Pricing is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to: how long and wide your driveway is, and in exceptional snow events, the depth of the snow.

8. Will I know the cost up front?: Yes, absolutely! Before you tap the submit button to schedule a plow, you will see the price of the job in the app, and you can choose whether to proceed or not.

9. What is the typical response time upon placing a request for service?: For Mowz, our providers are expected to show to an appointment on the date scheduled (weather permitting.)
For Plowz, we offer three options:
- ASAP: Response time typically within two hours.
- Tomorrow AM: Providers are asked to complete jobs before 6 AM
- Tomorrow PM: Providers are asked to complete jobs before 4 PM

10. Can I get a price for my property before I actually need service?: Yes, you can get a quote at any time prior to payment.

11. What does Plowz & Mowz™ service include?: For Plowz®, we are offering Sterling Heights residents basic snow plowing of a driveway with snow removal from their sidewalks and walkways included in the pricing.

12. Does Plowz® service street parking, parking lots, alleyways, sidewalks, walkways, etc?: Unfortunately, Plowz service doesn’t cover street parking, alley ways, parking lots, etc. (Sterling Heights residents will have their walkways and sidewalks included in their price/service.) 13. How are providers chosen/evaluated?: We require all of our providers to have commercial grade equipment and General Liability insurance in the event of an accident. We don’t want unqualified companies plowing your driveway.

14. If I’m not home, how will I know my job is completed?: Once a job is completed, the provider will take a photograph of the completed work and send it to you. You will receive notification from the app on your phone to view the picture.

15. If I order a Plowz, should I stake my driveway?: Yes. This will help the provider locate your driveway. These snow stakes will also prevent damage to your lawn. If you do not stake your driveway, we are not liable for property damage.

16. When and how will I be charged?: When you order service, you will see the job cost posted to your bank account or credit card. This is ONLY a HOLD. You will not actually be charged until the job is complete and you have received photo confirmation.

17. How long will it take a provider to get to my house?: We average a two hour response time upon placement of an order, but this is likely to vary based how busy the providers are and how long it takes to complete the jobs.

18. Can I cancel service once an order has been placed?: Yes, but a cancellation fee will be applied if the job has already been assigned to a provider. If the job hasn’t been claimed yet, there won’t be any charge.
