The Sterling Heights Nature Center is not a state-licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility. Our resident animals are cared for under appropriate U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) permits for education and display purposes only.
Because of this, we are not authorized to accept, treat, or care for injured, orphaned, or displaced wildlife.
If you encounter wildlife in need of assistance, please contact one of the Licensed Michigan Wildlife Rehabilitators, who are permitted and trained to provide proper medical care and rehabilitation.
