The city of Sterling Heights created the African American Coalition to serve as a forum that helps connect City leadership with the 10,000+ Black residents that call Sterling Heights home. The group provides an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities centered on racial equity within Sterling Heights and beyond.
The City of Sterling Heights Nice Neighbor Program was launched by Mayor Richard Notte and the Sterling Heights City Council in September 2003. The program recognizes homeowners who do what they can to improve the quality of life for their neighbors.
