Our library utilizes a shared system with several local libraries. This allows Sterling Heights library cardholders to borrow physical materials from member libraries. These libraries include all the public libraries in Macomb County along with the Troy Public Library and Harper Woods Public Library. Click here to go to the Suburban Library Cooperative's website.
The Sterling Heights Public Library shares an eBook collection with over two dozen libraries spread across the State of Michigan. You can access the eBook collection here.
Members of the MILibraryCard program can visit nearly 100 Michigan libraries and checkout their print materials. To get started, ask a clerk at our checkout desk to put a MILibraryCard sticker on your Sterling Heights library card. You may then register your card at a participating library. Click here to see a list of MILibraryCard libraries.
All Michigan residents can access the Michigan eLibrary Catalog, MeLCat, to place holds on items from libraries all across Michigan. To use MeLCat, go to mel.org and sign in with your name and library card number.
